Welcome to Ocular IME Consultants, your premier choice for expert independent medical examinations (IMEs) focused on the eyes, the visual system, and the ocular adnexa. John R. Dailey, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist with 29 years of clinical experience. He is extensively published in all major ophthalmology journals and he has served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, Penn State University College of Medicine.

Whether for the plaintiff or the defendant, Dr. Dailey is dedicated to providing expert, unbiased examinations and reports. He conducts each IME himself, answers all questions thoroughly and concisely, and will provide a formal written report within three days of the IME.

Expert Examiner

All ocular IMEs are conducted by John R. Dailey, M.D., a board-certified ophthalmologist with 29 years of experience in treating medical and surgical disorders of the eyes. Dr. Dailey is SEAK-trained and has 10 years of experience performing ocular IMEs, having completed over 60 IMEs and has participated in six depositions in the past seven years.

Timely and Detailed Reports

Dr. Dailey is available to perform IMEs within 4 weeks of a request. Detailed and explanatory IME reports are completed and returned by email within three days of the examination.

John R. Dailey, M.D.

Dr. John Dailey is an AAO board-certified Ophthalmologist currently in his 29th year of providing comprehensive surgical and medical eye care in South Central Pennsylvania. He is extensively published in peer review ophthalmology literature, he has served on the Board of Directors and the Medical Advisory Committee of UPMC West Shore Surgery Center, and is a former consultant to Highmark Blue Shield and Pennsylvania Blue Cross Medicare. Over the past seven years, he has performed over 60 independent medical examinations (IMEs) and has participated in six depositions. In 2023  he established Ocular IME Consultants, an entity dedicated to performing IMEs related to the eyes, the ocular adnexa, and the visual system.
